About Us

The Boys' Brigade  is a worlwide organisation that provides a sensible healthy environment to help Boys grow and develop with a strong sense of respect, self-discipline and self-reliance based on Christian principles.

Our Object is " The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among Boys, and the promotion of habits  of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness".

        1st Brisbane Company was formed in 1913 by Mr. George Orr. It is the oldest Company of The Boys' Brigade in Australia and in 2013 will be celebrating it's 100th anniversary.

All the Company officers are experienced in the supervision and instruction of Boys and all carry Blue Cards.

The Company meets in The Boys' Brigade Hall at 80 Enoggera Terrace, Red Hill, and is connected to the Ithaca Presbyterian Church.

1st Brisbane is part of the No.1 Brisbane Battalion.

The Company has 2 Sections to ensure that Boys receive appropriate levels of activity and supervision at all stages of their development. Both sections meet on Friday nights at 6.45pm.

The "Juniors" is for Boys 8 to 11 years old meet at 6:45pm and finish at 8.45pm.

The "Seniors" is for Boys 12 to 17 years old meet at 6:45pm and finishes at 9.45pm. Depending on what activities the Seniors boys are participating in we also meet on monday nights at 7:00pm and finish at 8:15pm.
